Mad About the Boy
Inspired by the work of Raf Simons, Gosha Rubchinskiy and Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent, the Mad About The Boy exhibition has emerged from the analysis and understanding of why the industry is so fixated with youth culture. Set to examine the parallels within fashion’s treatment of youth, focusing on the way ideas of the teenage boy are constructed through specific collections and fashion images. Masculinity and youth is reassured through the infinite opportunity, spontaneity and creative freedom of the youth.
The Icelandic Sheep
The Icelandic fibre is perhaps the world’s most versatile. The fleece is dual coated, meaning that it has a long outer coat and a fine inner coat. Its versatility suggests many projects and uses, hand-spinners delighted to spin a wide range of yarns for an even wider range of uses from a single fleece. http://icelanddefrosted.com
